STUART MOORE has been a writer, a book editor, and an award-winning comics editor. His current comics writing includes Namor: The First Mutant and Spider-Man: Back in Quack (both from Marvel), Star Trek Captain's Log: Pike (IDW), and the original graphic novel SHADRACH STONE (Penny-Farthing Press). He also writes the multicultural superhero team The 99 (Teshkeel) and is cowriting the crossover series JLA/99 (DC). Stuart has also served as an editor of the Virgin / SciFi Channel comics line, the Marvel Knights imprint, and DC's acclaimed Vertigo imprint, where he won the Will Eisner award for Best Editor 1996. Stuart lives in Brooklyn, New York.
RICK GEARY has been a freelance cartoonist and illustrator for 35 years. His work has appeared in National Lampoon, MAD, The New York Times, Heavy Metal, Disney Adventures and many other publications. He has completed nine volumes in his "Treasury of Victorian Murder" series of graphic novels, and has initiated "A Treasury of 20th Century Murder" with The Lindbergh Child. He was the artist for the new series of GUMBY comics, for which he received the 2007 Eisner Comic Industry Award for Best Publication for a Younger Audience. In 2007, after thirty years in San Diego, he moved with his wife, Deborah, to Carrizozo, New Mexico.
