Oh, man...hiatus schmiatus! Just read the last few pages, I had a couple of episodes to catch up on and it's always a treat to have a substantial chunk to sink your teeth into. Excellent stuff! And now we have to wait months for more? S'not fair!
Just re-read it all Paul, very very accomplished stuff. It feels like you're telling a story straight out of the newspaper, is it based on actual events? How much research have you done on the politics and realities of colonial life? Feels like you did a fair bit.
The psychodrama is similarly well tooled, and your ink-work really reflects the tensions that are growing.
Love the shift into the more washed out style, somehow very dramatic to simplify for these parts, makes the events described feel even more cruel. Like a child's memories, simplified but brutal.
As for what music to listen to while reading...'Spanish Key' by Miles Davis from 'Bitches Brew'just came on my itunes.
great work mate

Hi Ti! Glad you like the strip. I'ts not a "true story" but I've done some research, enough to ground characters and to understand how those events back up the points I'm making. To be honest the actions of the characters constantly suprise me!
