Dov Torbin graduated from UMass Amherst with a B.S. in mechanical engineering. After college he moved to New York City to pursue a career in comics.

He self-published his first comic book entitled, The Deconstruction of Dov Torbin, in June of 2007.

In 2008 Dov worked as the cartoonist for New Voices magazine and was featured in the comics issue of The L Magazine.

In 2011 he joined ACT-I-VATE with his graphic novel, The Revolution Will Be Televised.

In 2012 he launched Comic Strip Tees, a site which showcases indie cartoonists and sells t-shirts with their artwork on them.

He is also the front man for the americana band, The Recession Boys.
