Dov Torbin graduated from UMass Amherst in 2006 with a B.S. in mechanical engineering. After college he moved to New York City to pursue a career in comics.

In 2011 he joined ACT-I-VATE with his graphic novel, The Revolution Will Be Televised.

In 2012 he launched Comic Strip Tees, a site which showcased indie cartoonists and sold t-shirts with their artwork on them.

In 2013 he started the blog, 10 Rules for Drawing Comics, featuring the personal 10 rules of some of the best cartoonists.

He is also the front man for the americana band, The Recession Boys and is currently recording a solo LP.
